Floyd Mayweather fixes Manny Pacquaio billion dollar fight for May 2

Boxing fans, promoters and pundits may no longer have to wait for the so much anticipated fight which they have wanted to see happen; Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquaio, since 2009.

The two fighters are ground breakers for different respects; Mayweather living as the richest and only champion never to be beaten in over 47 professional fights, Pacquaio on his part, the only boxer to be crowned champion in seven different weight categories but they both stand for one style, pound-for-pound.

‎A fight between these two is taught to fall in the billion dollar range; the biggest ever in boxing history, as it could attract the largest pay-per-view numbers and more money too for for both boxers and promoters.

Finally accepting a long evaded challenge, Mayweather said in a TV interview: “I would love to fight Manny Pacquiao.

”We tried to make the fight happen years ago; we had problems with random blood and urine testing.

“I just want to be on an even playing field. Now he’s in a very, very tight situation. He’s lost to [Juan Manuel] Marquez [in 2012], he’s lost to [Timothy] Bradley [by controversial decision in 2012 but avenged it in April],”Mayweather said

‎He added: ”Pay-per-view numbers are extremely low. He’s desperate. I wanted that fight a long time ago. I’m just waiting on them.”

“We are ready. Let’s make it happen. May 2. Mayweather versus Manny Pacquiao. Let’s do it.”

To confirm his readiness for the fight, Mayweather challenged Pacquaio and his promoters further:

“So let’s make this fight happen. Manny Pacquiao, Bob Arum, you guys have been ducking us for years.

“We’re tired of you guys fooling the public, fooling the critics. You guys didn’t want to take random blood and urine testing, so that’s why it didn’t happen. Then I offered you $40 million, then you didn’t want to make the fight happen.

You lost twice, now you coming back begging for the same money. That’s not gonna happen. Let’s make the fight happen for the people and the fans. Mayweather versus Pacquiao, May 2nd, Cinco de Mayweather.”

Nigerian Celebrities 3 Things They Need To Stop Doing

Some Nigerian celebrities go to odd lengths to get attention of the press, some of them are not so cool any more.‎Nigerian celebrities do the most awkward and many times unnecessary things and because they are celebrities they sometimes get away with them. This doesn’t however mean they should not consider stopping these things because lets face it, it gets old.

Here are 3 things Nigerian celebrities need to stop doing

  1. Posting photos of money:Harrysong was recently guilty of this misdemeanour. He posted a photo on Instagram with stacks of money and openly declared that the money is all his. Frankly, it’s unnecessary, you don’t see Bill Gates flaunting stacks of Dollar bills. Yung6ix is also a multiple offender for the crime in the category of flaunting stashes of Naira notes. You are a well paid artist who can afford pricey things, we get it but showing off actual bundles of money doesn’t earn you points.
  2. Shouting out to their ‘haters’ : This seems to be a common trend among Nigerian celebrities. In recent times Nollywood bad boy Jim Iyke and also Lola Omotayo; wife of Peter Okoye of Psquare have addressed their ‘haters’ in very long Instagram posts. Celebrity or not, not everyone will like you and being a celebrity means you are in the public eye and people will most definitely take shots at you, this doesn’t now warrant to dedicating essays to them. The best revenge is to totally ignore them, giving them shout out just implies that you are paying attention to them.
  3. Posting the price of stuff : This has to be the most popular unnecessary thing that Nigerian celebrities are guilty of. Everyone, even we non-celebs like to Instagram photos of the nice things we get, but including the price… you lose a number of points. Recently Chika Ike’s manager Serah Donald revealed how much Chika rented a luxury boat for her vacation, $24,000 for two days. It’s okay to show off your pricey gifts and purchases but is adding the price really necessary,I think not.Source: pulse.ng
